Temporary Resonance Trio

Sunday, February 2, 3:00 pm

Location: Eureka Woman’s Club at 1531 J St. in Eureka

Cost: $30

Break this winter’s spell with an uplifting concert by the Temporary Resonance Trio on Sunday February 2 at the Eureka Woman’s Club.

The Trio, which includes Eureka Symphony concertmaster Terrie Baune, cellist and conductor Carol Jacobson, and pianist John Chernoff will play Beethoven’s Opus 70 No. 1 in D major, the “Ghost,” and Brahms’ Opus 8 in B major, both masterpieces of the chamber music literature. Along with their performance the Trio generously shares insights into the music, bringing audience and performers together for a deeper understanding and appreciation.

Sweet and savory treats, coffee and tea during intermission add to the joy of this community musical celebration.

This annual chamber music concert is a major benefit for the Eureka Symphony, with all proceeds going towards supporting the Symphony’s music programs. Long-time concert sponsor Pam Cahill says that she is happy to support this concert, recalling that her mother loved to attend and did so until she was over 100 years old. Pam served on the Symphony Board during the move to the Arkley Center, and was delighted to work with Carol to make many good things happen. “The Symphony is dear to my heart,” she says, “and I want those good things to continue.”

There is limited general seating, and this concert usually sells out, so advance purchase of the $30 tickets is recommended. Visit eurekasymphony.org or call the Eureka Symphony ticket line at 707-845-3655. A few tickets may be available at the door due to cancellations but cannot be assured.

The Eureka Symphony thanks concert sponsor Pam Cahill, the Eureka Woman’s Club, and Ramone’s Bakery and Café for their generous support.
