Ricardo Garcia bio
Ricardo Garcia, Tenor, is at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music as a Master’s student. At the Music Academy of the West he sang the lead tenor role, Jenik, in the Bartered Bride. He was invited by Composer Joseph Julian Gonzales to perform “Misa Azteca” as the tenor soloist and was hailed by the Southern Oregon performing Arts Review, “Mr. Garcia contributed a rich tenor voice, well controlled and quite moving to hear”.
At the SongFest Winter Intensive he will be working with Susanne Mentzer, Sir Thomas Allen, Craig Rutenberg, Graham Johnson, and Stewart Robertson. After which he will travel to New York to be part of Marilyn Horne’s program “The Song Continues” at Carnegie Hall. Following his performance with the Eureka symphony, Ricardo will travel to Virginia to begin his Residency with Wolf Trap Opera as a Studio Artist.
